Women's Tennis Suffer Heartbreak Loss

Even with number-one player Courtney Comstock out of the lineup with a shoulder injury, the FLC women's tennis team almost pulled off a victory over visiting Sierra College on Friday afternoon. Ultimately, the Wolverines left with a 5-4 win over the Falcons that was never short on drama. The match that turned the tide in favor of Sierra was a 9-8 tiebreaker win in #1 doubles.  Had the match gone in favor of FLC,  the Falcons would likely have been the victorious team.  Sophomores Rebecca Billingsley and Emma Berry both won in singles and combined for a win in doubles. Amanda Smead also earned a hard-fought win in singles for the Falcons' other point.
