After a nearly four-week hiatus from actual games, the Folsom Lake women returned to action on Tuesday night at Modesto Junior College, but watched a close first half turn into a Modesto runaway as the Pirates defeated the Falcons, 66-39. Trailing by just seven points at halftime, the Falcons were outscored by 12 points in the third quarter. The Falcon offense struggled, shooting just 35% and only 38% from the free throw line. Eva Graf led the Falcons in scoring with 9 points as no Folson Lake player reached double figures.
With numerous postponements due COVID protocols, the Falcons (5-12 overall, 1-3 in Big 8) are hoping to get back in a rhythm with regular game action, though the immediate schedule looks daunting; they'll host Sierra (17-2 overall, 5-1 in Big 8) on Wednesday and Delta College (19-0-1, 5-0-1) on Friday.
