Skyline tops FLC women, 59-46

While most people were home relaxing, the Falcon women prepped for Thanksgiving by hosting Skyline College (San Bruno) on Wednesday evening at Falcon Gym.  The Trojans came in as a formidable foe sporting a perfect 7-0 early season record and kept their undefeated record intact as they fought off a feisty Folsom Lake squad, 59-46.  The Falcon defense held the Trojans to their lowest point total of the season, and the Trojans' margin of victory was their smallest yet this season.

The game itself was actually a tale of two halves; the Trojans dominated the first half (38-17) while the Falcons were the better team over the final 20 minutes (29-21).  Statistically, freshman forward Megan Williams led the Falcons with 10 points and Reya Lee added 8.  Forward Bella Rainwater grabbed 8 rebounds while 5'4" guard Jessica Huffhines had 6 rebounds.

The Falcons (1-5) will travel to Santa Maria on Thursday for the 'Toys For Tots' Tournament at Allan Hancock College, where they'll open against Glendale College (4-1) at 5:00 pm.
