Folsom Lake Softball Falls Short Against San Mateo

San Mateo - In a non-conference road game, the Folsom Lake College Falcons faced a tough San Mateo Bulldog team that claimed victory over the Falcons by a final score of 11-0.

The Falcons, struggled to find their offensive rhythm against a formidable San Mateo squad. The game ended after five innings due to the mercy rule, with the Bulldogs securing a decisive victory.

Pitcher Aila Lyden, who entered the game with a 3-1 record, faced a tough San Mateo lineup that showcased both power and precision. Despite Lyden's efforts, the Bulldogs managed to capitalize on opportunities, scoring 10 runs during her three innings on the mound. Isabella Robinson took the mound in relief, but the damage was already done.

Despite the challenging outcome, the Falcons will look to regroup as they prepare for their next challenge against San Jose City College on Saturday.
