Falcons Suffer Setback Against Cerritos College
Norwalk - In a challenging away game, the Folsom Lake College Falcons faced off against the Cerritos College Falcons, ultimately falling short by a final score of 5-0. The matchup at Cerritos proved to be a tough contest for Folsom Lake, resulting in their first loss of the 2024 softball season.
Folsom Lake struggled to find their rhythm against Cerritos pitcher Reanna Carranza, who delivered an impressive performance, allowing only four hits and maintaining a shutout. Isabella Robinson started on the mound for Folsom Lake but faced challenges, leading to an early pitching change. Aila Lyden took over and managed to contain Cerritos for the remainder of the game.
Despite efforts from Araceli Jaimes, Clare Yanez, and others, Folsom Lake couldn't overcome the early deficit. The Falcons left three runners stranded on base and were unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
