Panthers use grand slam, solid pitching to blank the Falcons

The Sacramento City Panthers used a grand slam, which was preceded by three bases-loaded walks, to break open a close game on their way to a 10-0, five-inning victory over Folsom Lake at Sac City on Friday afternoon.  The Panthers managed just four hits in the game, but took full advantage of six walks and two Falcon errors to pile up ten runs.  The Falcons trailed 3-0 with one on and one out in the fourth when Panther leftfielder Alex Ireland struck out, but reached first base when the ball got past the catcher.  After a walk loaded the bases with two outs, three more batters walked (making it 6-0) before designated player Breanna Dunn hit the grand slam to finish off the scoring.
