The FLC men's soccer team had hoped to get back on the winning track with a match against an opponent they'd already beaten earlier this season, but instead fell to a motivated Modesto squad on Tuesday afternoon in Modesto, 5-2. The Pirates scored early and often against the Falcons on their way to 5-1 halftime lead. Freshmen Miguel Medina and Jose Muñoz accounted for the Falcons' scoring with their 6th and 4th goals of the season, respectively. The loss was the Falcons' seventh in a row and drops their Big 8 Conference record to 3-6. They will hope to finish the season on a high note on Friday afternoon when they host Delta College (0-5-4 in Big 8) at 4:30 pm in Falcon Stadium.
