Golfers take 2nd in Tournament #3
Just three tournaments into the Big 8 schedule, and it's already clearly a two-team race. The Falcons finished second behind Napa Valley on Wednesday at Chardonnay Golf Club in Napa, and the two teams have now alternated spots through the first three tournaments. This time the Falcons shot a team score of 392 and finished 8 strokes behind Napa Valley, who had the advantage of playing on their home course. With three players scoring in the 70's and two more right at 80, it was a marked improvement for the defending Big 8 champs. Freshman Noah Woehler again led the team with his 76, while Nathan Jetton and Sam Irvin followed with 77 and 79, respectively.
