Falcon golfers have ‘rough’ day, finish 4th on home course
This week's FLC home-field woes continued on Wednesday afternoon at Rancho Murieta Country Club as the Falcon golfers stumbled to a fourth place in Big 8 tournament #6 and subsequently slipped out of first place in the Big 8 standings, a position they'd held since the season began six weeks ago. The Falcons shot a team score of 417, easily their worst of the season, as Sierra took over the Big 8 lead with their first-place score of 388. Sophomore Mason Troike was the only Falcon with a sub-80 round, a fact that perturbed FLC head coach Barry Zarecky. The Falcons have a 12-day break in their tournament schedule, which Zarecky hopes to use to refocus his squad.
