Golfers take 3rd at Norcal Major #3

Playing in miserably cold, windy, and rainy weather, the Falcons took third place out of 14 teams yesterday at NorCal Major Tournament #3 with a team score of 396, finishing just five strokes behind team champion Chabot. Mason Troike led the Falcons with a remarkable 74 - considering the conditions and the tough Diablo Grande course - and solidified his place at the top of the NorCal Major leaderboard. The Falcons also finished four strokes ahead of Big 8 North division leader Santa Rosa, moving them into a first place tie with the BearCubs. Tomorrow's Big 8 Tournament #7 on the Rancho Murieta home course will determine which team takes over the division lead.
