Offensive Struggles Continue in 47-75 Loss to Delta College

The Falcons (4-10, 0-2 Big-8) found themselves facing a three-game losing streak entering their game against the Delta College Mustangs (5-8, 1-0 Big-8) on Thursday night but were unable to stop the streak as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss (47-75).

"I thought we would come out with more intensity and a sense of urgency considering that we just suffered a close loss in our conference opener. But we just never got into a rhythm, offensively, and our defense couldn't carry us," said Head Coach, Bill Benford about Thursday night's game in Stockton.

As a team, the Falcons shot 28% from the field, well under their season average of 47%. Three-point (26%) and free throw (50%) percentages were also below their season average. The Falcons were led by Alan Davis, Jr with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists, and Donavan Coakley with 13 points.

The Falcons get 7 days off before their next game on Friday, December 30th at 5:30 pm in Falcons Gymnasium against Diablo Valley College (8-5, 1-0 Big-8). When asked about his next game, Benford said "I think we still have a lot of fight left in us and I think we'll be able to get this turned around before our next game against a good DVC team on our home court."
