Falcons Seeded #3 in CCCAA Baseball State Championship

Sacramento, CA After finishing the season with an overall record of 30-9, the Falcons have earned the #3 seed in the CCCAA Baseball State Championship. Their first opponent in the CCCAA Baseball Regional, will be the #22 seeded College of Marin Mariners. The best-of-three series will be hosted by the Falcons at Falcon's Baseball Stadium, home of the 2023 CCCAA Baseball State Final Four. The first game (game 1) is set to start on Friday, May 5th at 5 pm. The second game (game 2) of the series is scheduled for Saturday, May 6th at noon, if needed, the third game (game 3) will start 30 minutes following the conclusion of game 2.

These two teams faced off one time this year when the Falcons traveled to Marin in February. The game featured excellent pitching performances by Falcon's starter, Andrew Neil and Mariners starter, Jake Tirk. In the end, it was Neil who earned the win as the Falcons defeated the Mariners by a score of 4-2.

The Falcons were one of only 4 teams in the state to win 30 games in the 2023 regular season. They enter the post season with an overall record of 30-9 and a Big-8 Conference record of 16-8. The Mariners enter the post season with an overall record of 24-16, and a Bay Valley Conference record of 17-4.
