Baseball winning streak now at 8

The FLC baseball team improved to 8-0 in April (22-12 overall, 17-5 in BVC) with a dominating 12-3 win over Contra Costa in San Pablo on Saturday.  Freshman starting pitcher Tanner Clark allowed just two runs in his six innings, while Nick Schumacher and Tyler Kaim continued their torrid hitting spree.  Schu had four hits in five at-bats, raising his team-leading batting average to .355, and scored three runs.  Kaim was three for four with a double, three runs scored, and two RBI.

The Falcons will now focus on tomorrow's showdown with BVC leader Laney College in Oakland.  Josh Moore will take the mound for the Falcons as they hope to gain ground on the conference leaders with their ninth straight win.
