Falcons complete sweep with 7-2 win at Gavilan

In the second game of their doubleheader at Gavilan College in Gilroy on Thursday, sophomore lefty starter Andrew Vaughn also picked up his third win of the season after five solid innings against the Rams.  Vaughn's season stats are nearly as remarkable as Johnson's, with just 2 earned runs over 15 innings, a 1.20 earned run average, and has held opposing hitters to a .128 batting average.   Leadoff hitter Isaiah Lissade continued his torrid start and raised his batting average to .429 with two more hits and a of couple walks, and designated hitter Alex Schroeder launched his third home run of the young season to lead the Falcons' offense.

The Falcons (6-2) will now enjoy a rare weekend off, then play four games on the road next week beginning with a Monday afternoon matchup against Feather River (7-2) at Butte College in Oroville.
