In the second leg of their road trip, the Falcons played a doubleheader at Gavilan College in Gilroy on Thursday afternoon and enjoyed a jovial bus ride home after winning 9-2 and 7-2.
In game one, freshman pitching sensation Trevor Johnson earned his state-leading 3rd win of the season by pitching 6 shutout innings while striking out 11 batters. In his three starts, Johnson has allowed just one earned run in almost 18 innings, struck out 22 batters, and has held opposing hitters to a .138 batting average. Offensively, the Falcons got three hits apiece from shortstop Isaiah Lissade (3-for 5, 3 runs scored) and centerfielder Jake Gross (3-for-5, triple).
