Daily Applegarth Named to 3C2A Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll

Sacramento - Today, it was announced that FLC's Daily Applegarth has earned a spot on the 2022-23 CCCAA Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Out of the approximately 24,000 Community College student-athletes in California, Daily is among the distinguished group of 21 individuals, and notably, she stands as the sole student-athlete from the Big 8 Conference to receive this honor for the 2022-23 academic year.

Originally from Placerville, CA, Daily graduated from El Dorado High School in 2021 and contributed to Folsom Lake College's women's basketball program from 2021 to 2023. Throughout her tenure as a Falcon, she demonstrated exceptional performance, averaging 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Head Coach Ali Mollet praised Daily's dedication to the team, highlighting her reliability on both ends of the floor, energy in games and practices, and selfless team-first attitude.

"Daily's impact on the program extended beyond the court." Coach Mollet noted Daily's willingness to prioritize the team's success over personal accomplishments, citing her contributions to essential tasks such as setting screens, making extra passes, and diving for loose balls.

In the Spring of 2023, Daily graduated from Folsom Lake College with an AS degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Math and Science, boasting a remarkable cumulative GPA of 4.0. Subsequently, she transferred to Sacramento State University, where she is currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry.

Notably, Daily joins the ranks of only two other FLC student-athletes who have received this prestigious honor in the past: Michelle Doyle in 2017 and Austyn Ciampa in 2018. Her achievements both on and off the court reflect her commitment to academic excellence and athletic prowess, making her a commendable representative of Folsom Lake College.
