Falcons Fall Short in Top 20 Showdown Against Cosumnes River College

Sacramento: In a nail-biting game at Cosumnes River College's Clark Court, the Falcons experienced a heart-wrenching defeat against the Hawks. The matchup, part of the Big 8 Conference, lived up to the hype as the 13th-ranked Falcons took on the 18th-ranked Hawks in a Top 20 showdown.

The Falcons, who entered the game with a season record of 10-5 and a 2-1 standing in the conference, fought hard against the Hawks, who were determined to defend their 18th state ranking. The game showcased the competitive spirit of both teams, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer.

Corrie Harrison led the Falcons with an impressive 18-point performance, while Alysa Lopez contributed a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Despite their commendable efforts, the Falcons faced a formidable opponent in the Hawks.

The game's box score told the tale of the intense battle, with Folsom Lake leading in the first two quarters but falling short in the second half. The Hawks' strong comeback secured a 61-56 victory, adding another chapter to the fierce competition within the Big 8 Conference.
