Falcons Fall Short Against Sacramento City

Sacramento - In a hard-fought clash on the diamond, the Folsom Lake College Falcons faced off against the Sacramento City College Panthers in a game that saw both teams leaving it all on the field. Despite their best efforts, the Falcons found themselves on the losing end of a 7-3 scoreline in this away game at Sacramento City College.

The game kicked off with a flurry of action as the Panthers struck first blood in the opening inning, capitalizing on an RBI single by Diana Hull to take an early 1-0 lead. However, the Falcons quickly responded in the second inning as Donna Jo Dalton's single brought Marica Watson home, leveling the score at 1-1.

The Panthers wasted no time in regaining control, with Jenna Potter's single driving in Jasmin Montes to put them back in the lead at 2-1. They extended their advantage further in the same inning, courtesy of Kayla Garber's timely hit that plated two more runs, pushing the score to 4-1 in favor of Sacramento City.

Despite facing a deficit, the Falcons continued to battle valiantly, with Kamora Baptiste's groundout in the third inning bringing Isabella Robinson home to narrow the gap to 4-2. However, the Panthers remained relentless, adding to their lead in the third inning, making it 6-2, and again in the fifth inning making it 7-2.

Down but not out, the Falcons rallied in the seventh inning, with Summer Lagomarsino's clutch double bringing Robinson home to trim the deficit to 7-3. Despite their efforts, the Falcons couldn't complete the comeback, ultimately falling short against a resilient Sacramento City squad.

On the mound, Falcon's pitchers Haylee Garrison and Isabella Robinson battled admirably against a potent Panthers lineup, but ultimately couldn't contain their opponents' offensive onslaught.
