Beavers shut out Falcons in season opener

After over a year off since their last competitive match, the FLC men's tennis team finally took the courts on Friday against district rival American River.  The Beavers dominated the contest, however, winning all nine matches in a 9-0 victory.  Freshman Yurro Zabala and sophomore Austin Lee - playing at singles #3 and #6, respectively - came the closest to defeating their rivals.  Zabala fell 4-6, 4-6, while Lee won the middle set before falling in the deciding third set tiebreaker.

The Falcons will resume their abreviated season on Friday when they host Cosumnes River College.
