Men's Tennis Back In Winning Form

Using a shuffled lineup that enabled some lower-ranked players a chance to play, the Falcons swept Shasta College on Friday afternoon in Redding, 9-0.  Coach Patrick Rutz chose to let his top two players (Sean Alves and Max Hennessey) sit out this match, thus allowing Kevin Conley and Spencer McClain an opportunity to play singles in position five and six.  The Falcons responded well as they each won in straight sets in singles and almost as easily in doubles.  They improved their Big 8 Conference record to 2-2 (with a rained-out match at Santa Rosa lurking) and improved their overall mark to 5-2.
