Men's Tennis Takes Hard Fought Match Over Modesto

The men found themselves in an epic battle with Modesto, characterized by the tense match at #3 doubles where the Falcons' Kevin Conley and Max Hennessey eventually lost by the slimmest of margins, 8-9 (5-7 tiebreaker).  Now trailing 2-1 after the doubles, the Falcons needed victories in four of the six singles matches to get the team victory.  When Sean Alves (#1), Max Hennessey (#2), and Praj Ta (#5) all notched wins, the team outcome fell on the shoulders of #6 Bill Bagnas in the day's final match.   Bagnas proved he was up to the task as he gutted out the 6-4, 6-4 win, thereby earning the 5-4 team victory for the Falcons.

Individually, Sean Alves remained undefeated at #1 singles with a cumulative 36-4 score through three matches.  Alves and Praj Ta (undefeated at #5 singles) also remain undefeated this season as doubles partners.
