Folsom – Rami Zantout scored the game winning goal in the 44th minute on Friday against the visiting, Modesto Junior College Pirates. In the second half, Jaden DeFazio increased his team leading goal total by scoring two more. DeFazio is currently tied for 3rd place in the Big 8 Conference in goals scored with 10 goals. Alonso Ruiz earned the clean sheet as the Falcons defeated the Pirates, 3-0.
With two games remaining in the Big 8 Conference schedule, the Falcons find themselves looking up to Cosumnes River College and Santa Rosa Junior College in the standings. Fortunately for the Falcons, their fate is in their own hands as they will play both SRJC and CRC this week which will determine the Big 8 Champion and final conference standings.
