Under the lights at American River College on Friday evening, the Falcons and Beavers played to a hard-fought 2-2 draw. The Falcons pounced with an early goal by Kyle Reilly in the first five minutes, his 4th goal of the season, with an assist by Ryan Brannigan. The Beavers responded midway through the first half to tie the core at 1-1, then took a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. It took 25 minutes, but the Falcons eventually got the equalizer with just three minutes to play on Armando Jimenez' goal, assisted by Will Seargeant.
At the halfway point in the Big 8 Conference schedule, the Falcons and Beavers remain tied for third place with identical 1-1-3 records. The Falcons (3-5-4 overall) will host two non-conference opponents this week with Canada (6-5-1) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm and Merced (9-3-1) on Friday at 5:30 pm.
