Falcons Fall to No. 13 Cabrillo College
Aptos –A day following their triumph over Butte College in the Saltwater Classic, the Falcons faced a formidable challenge against the #13-ranked Cabrillo College Hawks, ultimately succumbing to a 102-72 defeat.
The Hawks demonstrated their offensive prowess by sinking 12 three-pointers and converting 18 of 25 free throws (72%), establishing a commanding 65-29 lead by halftime. Although the Falcons managed to tighten their defensive grip in the second half, limiting the Hawks to 37 points, the sizable halftime deficit proved insurmountable.
In a consistent standout performance, freshman Micah Hobson led the Falcons in scoring for the second consecutive game, notching an impressive 19 points. Hobson maintains an average of 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season. Miko Bear secured the top spot for rebounds with 6, while Tyson Hazel showcased playmaking skills, leading the Falcons in assists with a total of 5.
