The Folsom Lake men's basketball team made their debut in the CCCAA state top 30 rankings on Monday, then promptly proved they belong there with a 98-81 victory over Sacramento City on Monday night. The Falcons, now 11-5 overall and 5-0 in the Big 8 Conference, are currently at #26 in California, their first such ranking in the program's 5-year history.
Freshman forward Dane Johnson had a big night, scoring 24 points while helping take some of the offensive load off of Pierce Rexford, who himself netted 20. Tre Adams and Yaadvir Dhaliwal added 14 and 11 points as the Falcons continued to demonstrate their committment to team play.
The Falcons won't get to savor this one for long as they play at Sierra (8-9 overall, 1-4 Big 8) on Tuesday night at 5:30 pm.
