The FLC men's basketball team cannot catch a break. After leading the entire first half and playing a back-and-forth second half, the Falcons fell to Cosumnes River on Friday night by one point when the Hawks scored with just two seconds left, 73-72. The Falcons' last-second desperation shot from beyond half court nearly went in but hit the back rim as time expired. Sadly for the Falcons, this was the third time in three games that they lost in the final seconds. Everett Campbell led the falcons in scoring with 14 points, while Chris Fairchild and Jeremy Dexter each added 10. The Falcons (5-19 overall, 2-10 in Big 8 play) will host Modesto (9-16, 5-8 in Big 8) on Tuesday evening at 5:30.
