Falcons Sweep Series Against American River

Folsom - In a thrilling home game for the Folsom Lake College Falcons, the team secured a commanding victory over the American River College Beavers in the third and final game of their series. The Falcons dominated the series, winning the first game 13-2 and the second game 4-1, ultimately sweeping the Beavers with a combined score of 24-7.

The Falcons showcased their offensive prowess once again, with a stellar performance from their batters. Logan Pruski, who had a standout game, led the charge with four runs, three hits, and a critical stolen base. Michael Ryan, the powerhouse in the lineup, blasted a home run and contributed four RBIs to the team's success.

Folsom Lake's Quincy Malbrough also made a significant impact, launching a two-run homer in the second inning that set the tone for the rest of the game. The team's ability to capitalize on key moments allowed them to secure the series sweep and maintain their momentum heading into the next challenge.

On the mound, the Falcons' pitching staff delivered a solid performance. Starter Andy Uharriet set the tone with five scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out four Beavers. Max Debiec closed out the game, pitching three innings without allowing a run and securing the victory for Folsom Lake.

The scoring summary highlighted key moments throughout the game. Folsom Lake took an early lead, and despite a sixth-inning surge from the Beavers that tied the game at 3-3, the Falcons responded emphatically with a four-run explosion, capped by Michael Ryan's grand slam.

With the series sweep behind them, Folsom Lake looks ahead to their next challenge – a three-game set against Sacramento City College. The Falcons aim to carry their momentum into the upcoming series and continue their impressive start to the Big 8 Conference schedule.
