Folsom Lake Falls Short in Rubber Match Against LA Valley
Valley Glen - In the third and final game of a hard-fought 3-game series, the Folsom Lake College Falcons faced off against the LA Valley College Monarchs. The Falcons took the lead in the series by winning the opening game with a final score of 7-4. However, the Monarchs answered back strongly, securing a 10-6 victory in the second game. With the series tied at 1-1, the stage was set for a decisive showdown.
Unfortunately for Folsom Lake, they couldn't clinch the series as LA Valley emerged victorious with a 5-1 win in the third game. The Monarchs' balanced offensive and solid pitching performance proved to be the difference-maker.
Quincy Malbrough provided the lone RBI for the Falcons, but LA Valley's pitching staff held them in check throughout the game. Folsom Lake's record now stands at 4-4 as they head back home.
