Folsom Lake College Falcons Open Season with Dominant Victory

Folsom - The Folsom Lake College Falcons kicked off their 2024 season in style with a commanding 16-5 victory over Gavilan College in a non-conference matchup. The Falcons, who reached the CCCAA Baseball State Championship for the second consecutive year last season, showcased their prowess in both offense and defense.

In a game that saw a total of 21 hits, Folsom Lake's Max Debiec delivered an outstanding performance on the mound, earning the win with three innings pitched, allowing only one earned run, and striking out six. Debiec also made his presence felt at the plate, slamming two homeruns, and accumulating a remarkable nine RBIs.

The Falcons wasted no time establishing their dominance, scoring five runs in the first inning, and adding six more in the third. Tyler Allen contributed three runs, while Nate Vargas and JJ Menesini also made significant offensive contributions.
