Falcons lose to Fresno in 3 close sets

The Folsom Lake volleyball team took to the road on Wednesday with a match at state ranked #3 Fresno City, and though the Falcons lost in three sets, each set was a nail-biter (25-23, 25-20, 25-19).  According to coach Molly Hanrahan, the Falcons committed too many errors - especially seriving - against the defending state champions.  Their defense and blocking kept them in the match, but with a few aching shoulders in the front row, the offensive firepower was limited.  Setter Kendall Hughes had another brilliant game, while defensive specialist Maria Rivera was also outstanding with her digs.  Coach Hanrahan also complimented the blocking prowess of freshman Abi Seabury.  

The #24 ranked Falcons will travel to Cupertino on Friday to take on De Anza (2-4) at 4:00 pm.
