Falcons lose controversial 5-set match at CRC

The Falcons played another excruciatingly close match at Cosumnes River on Friday night and unfortunately came home with a 5-set loss by the slimmest of margins, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-17.  The final set was marred by a controversial scoring decision/error by the official scorer, which led to an official protest of the outcome by Folsom Lake head coach Molly Hanrahan.  Sadly, the protest was denied because NCAA rulebook states that no further protest/appeal can be heard by the Conference once the officials leave the game site, so the outcome will remain despite video evidence to the contrary. 

The loss drops the Falcons to 8-16 overall and 2-8 in Big 8 play.  They'll take on Modesto (10-9, 5-5) on Wednesday night at Falcon Gym (view live-stream here:  https://flcfalcons.com/live ) at 6:30 pm.
