The Falcons entered Wednesday night's home match against Modesto with a 2-game losing streak, but put that behind them quickly as they soundly defeated the Pirates in three sets, 25-14, 25-11, 25-20. The offense was clicking with Caitlin Dillon and Julin Kenison providing the firepower and setter Kennedy Crawford serving aces and setting the ball in all the right spots. Coach Hanrahan's reserves logged solid minutes on the floor as the Falcons were never in danger.
The Falcons improved their Big 8 record to 7-4 and they remain in a virtual tie for 4th place with Santa Rosa. Friday night's match at Delta (9-1 and tied for first in the Big 8) looms large.
