Falcons take down Panthers, 3-1

A late-season, Friday night road match produced another win for the Falcons as they convincingly defeated Sacramento City College in four sets, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13, 25-22 at Sac City.  The Falcons rested the top hitter in the Big 8, Caitlin Dillon, but still had plenty of firepower to knock off the Panthers.  Regular setter Kennedy Crawford stepped in at outside hitter and led the team with 10 kills, just ahead of Kaitlin Bullock and Alicia Wilson (who also registered 3 blocks) at 9 apiece.  Mae Faraimo and Olivia Turner were defensive stalwarts with 12 digs apiece, and Crawford added 4 service aces.

With just one Big 8 match remaining - at home against Santa Rosa on Tuesday night - the Falcons remain in a tie for third place at 11-4, just one win behind second place American River.  The Falcons are hoping for a top-8 playoff seed that would allow them to open the playoffs at home on Tuesday November 20.
