The FLC women's volleyball team had little trouble on Wednesday night as they soundly defeated Cosumnes River in straight sets, 25-17, 25-13, 25-20. Falcons' head coach Matt Torrez was able to get playing time for his entire roster in the one hour, 12 minute victory. Freshman middle hitter Alicia Wilson was once again a standout for the Falcons, along with outside hitter Caitlin Dillon. Libero Deonna Robinson returned after an illness and recorded three service aces and 14 digs. The Falcons improved to 7-2 in Big 8 play and maintained their position in a tie for second, just one win behind Big 8 leader American River. They'll face one of the teams they currently share second place with on Friday night when they host Delta College at 6:30 pm.
