The Falcons managed to earn a victory in what was their most challenging match of the young season, 25-22, 25-20, 25-23 over DeAnza on Tuesday evening in Cupertino. Not only were the Falcons pressed, they had to come from behind in two of the sets, a first for coach Matt Torrez' young 2018 team. "They demonstrated that they can maintain composure in difficult situations," noted Torrez. "They're still learning and growing as a team, but I'm really pleased with the progress they're making."
Freshman Kaitlin Bullock was an offensive force with numerous kills, while sophomore Olivia Turner provided great defense and serving consistency.
With a 4-0 non-conference record, the Falcons now turn their attention to Big 8 Conference play, which begins on Friday with Cosumnes River visiting Falcon Gym at 6:30.
