Falcons’ Magical Playoff Run Ends in Fresno

It wasn't the result the FLC women's soccer team had dreamed of.  Fresno City got the best of the Falcons on Saturday afternoon, eliminating FLC from the playoffs with a dominating 4-0 victory.  The Rams scored first off a corner kick in the 17th minute, then added to that with another goal six minutes later to take a 2-0 lead.  From there, they were able to control the match against a depleted FLC team that was playing without two defensive starters.

"I am very proud of this group for all they achieved this season," remarked head coach Donny Ribaudo. "I'm excited to see how this young team develops in our next season."  The Falcons made program history in 2015 by advancing to the third round of the state playoffs, winning two tough matches along the way.  They concluded their outstanding 2015 season with an overall record of 19-3-2,  with two of those losses coming on the road at nationally-ranked Fresno City College.  Along the way, the Falcons were undefeated at Falcon Stadium in 2015, undefeated in the Bay Valley Conference, and won their third consecutive BVC title.   "We couldn't be happier with the work and dedication this group has put in this season, and are very proud of all of their achievements," Ribaudo added.

Congratulations, Falcons, on another quality season.  We've enjoyed watching you improve and win.  We're proud of all you've accomplished and how you've represented Folsom Lake College.  We look forward to watching you continue to succeed, both on and off the pitch.
