Falcons start slow, finish strong in win over DVC

The Falcon women got a late start on Tuesday evening, but once rolling had no trouble in their 71-43 victory over Diablo Valley at Falcon Gym.  The game opened with the Vikings jumping out to a quick 10-2 lead.  With the Falcons' outside shooters struggling, the Vikings held their lead throughout the first half and went into the locker room up 28-24.  The Falcons finally found their shooting touch and also started working the ball inside for easy baskets during the third quarter and steadily pulled away for the win.  Four Falcons scored in double figures, led by Reya Lee and Daily Applegarth with 14 points each, with Megan Williams and Amani Britton scoring 13 and 10, respectively, from in the paint.

The Falcons will face Diablo Valley again on Thursday before finishing up their Big 8 schedule against Cosumnes River on Monday.
