One tough inning sends Falcons to defeat
The Folsom Lake softball team got some quality pitching on Tuesday, but this time the bats didn't do their part as the Falcons lost to Bakersfield, 4-1, in Bakersfield. Except for the four-run fourth inning, starter Lilly Alvarez looked like she was back on track as she shut out the Renegades in the other five innings. The Falcons got their only run on an RBI double by catcher Taylor Eby that scored Hannah Dominguez.
The Falcons (15-13 overall, 7-7 in Big 8) will return to Big 8 action on Saturday when they play a doubleheader at Delta (16-12 overall, 7-7 in Big 8).
