The Folsom Lake softball team opened their Big 8 schedule on Saturday with a doubleheader at Modesto and came home with a pair of wins over the Pirates, 3-1 and 12-4.

In game two, six different Falcons had multiple hits while the team erupted for 19 total hits, a team record.  Pitcher Lilly Alvarez led the team with 4 hits and 4 RBI, Sachi Reyes had 2 doubles, a triple, and 2 RBI, and shortstop Haylee Reginato hit a 3-run home run in the first inning to get the Falcons started.  Alvarez allowed four runs over four innings, then gave way to Adia Shaw, who shut out the Pirates over the final three innings.
