The Falcons won two games on Thursday afternoon at Solano College using very different means for each win. In the opener, Falcon starter Lilly Alvarez dominated Solano with a dazzling three-hitter while pitching nearly a complete game - Adrianna Gonzalez closed out the final two outs - as the Falcons won 2-0. In the late game, the Falcons jumped ahead early with five runs in the first two innings, fell behind 7-5 after a disastrous fourth inning, then scored five more runs over the final two innings to win, 10-8.
Sophomore centerfielder Olivia Dominguez led the offense with four hits (after also getting two hits in the opener) while Elizabeth Wylie and Lilly Alvarez contributed two hits apiece.
The Falcons (4-5 overall) have the weekend off, then will host Mendocino on Tuesday for a twilight doubleheader starting at 4:00 pm.
