The Falcons traveled to Fairfield on Thursday for a non-conference makeup doubleheader at Solano College, but apparently left their bats behind as they lost two low-scoring games, 3-1 and 2-1. In the opener, Falcon pitcher Gigi Mendez held Solano to just six hits and two earned runs, but her teammates' seven singles were spread throughout the game and produced just one run.
In game two, the Falcon offense mustered just three hits, with two of those off the bat of left fielder Katie Thompson. Mendez pitched the second game as well, this time allowing nine hits and just two earned runs.
The Falcons will play a Big 8 Conference doubleheader at Sacramento City on Saturday at 12:00 and 2:00 pm
