Falcons stumble at ARC

The 'other' Folsom Lake College softball team showed up – or didn't show, depending on your perspective – for Monday's game at American River College and graciously handed a 3-2 victory to the Beavers. 

"We didn't hit, we didn't field," noted head coach Jenna Alexander.  "It's like we were somewhere else."   Falcon catcher Kaitlyn Karmazin drove in the team's only runs in the fourth inning to put the Falcons ahead, 2-1.  But the Beavers plated two in the bottom of the sixth to take over the lead, then shut down the visitors in the seventh for the victory.

The loss drops the Falcons' Big 8 record to 3-5, but they won't have to wait long to see if they can get back on track.  They'll host Sac City (3-4) at 2:00 pm Tuesday (weather permitting) at Falcon Diamond with a chance to move ahead of the Panthers in the standings.
