Softball Loses to Delta

The FLC softball team wrapped up their non-conference schedule yesterday in Stockton as they lost to host Delta College, 10-3.  The Falcons fell behind 4-0 as the Mustangs posted single runs in the 1^st, 2^nd, 4^th, and 5^th innings.  But in the sixth, the Falcons got a 2-run homer from Bree Martinez – her 3^rd home run of the season – and an RBI single by Anna Ydiarte to close to within one at 4-3.  After that, though, it was all Mustangs as they pushed across six runs in the sixth to put the game away.

The Falcons are scheduled to open BVC play at Napa Valley tomorrow, however that game has already been postponed due to wet field conditions and a wetter forecast.  At this time, it appears the Falcons' next game will be at Falcon Diamond against Mendocino on Tuesday, March 15.
