With the first-game jitters behind them, the Folsom Lake College women's softball team hosted Lassen College on Friday afternoon with hopes of earning their first victory. But after taking an early 2-0 lead, the Falcons could not silence the Lassen bats as the visitors pounded out 15 hits in route to an 11-2 win. The Falcons struck early and looked relaxed and confident, but a 6-run fourth inning for the Cougars took that away.
The team will now focus on Saturday's doubleheader in San Jose, where they'll play future Big 8 rival Diablo Valley at noon, followed by San Jose City at 2:00 pm.
