Men’s soccer uses big second half to down Mendocino

The Falcons hosted their old Bay Valley Conference foe, Mendocino College, in a non-conference match at FLC on Thursday night and treated the home crowd to a 4-0 victory.  Neither team managed to score in the first half, although both teams had several shots-on-goal and near misses.  But the Falcons looked like a team on a mission as they opened the second half with three goals in the first twelve minutes of play to go up 3-0.  Another goal 15 minutes later closed out the scoring, with Jose Munoz (2), Santaigo Peniche, and Miguel Medina all tallying goals for the Falcons, while Austyn Ciampa assited on two of the goals .  The Falcons will look to improve on their 3-1-1 record on Saturday when they host West Valley College (Saratoga) at 11:00 am at Falcon Stadium.
