The FLC men's soccer team was hoping to add a victory to their win column as they took on Merritt College in Oakland on Tuesday afternoon. When sophomore Drew Russell scored a goal in the 43rd minute, it looked as though they would accomplish their goal. The Falcons continued to thwart any Merritt scoring chances throughout the second half, but in a cruel twist of fate, Merritt scored a goal off a corner kick in the final few seconds of play to earn a 1-1 tie. The Falcons now own a 1-5-2 record in BVC play and are 3-12-2 overall. They have a bye this Friday, then return to action next week at College of Marin on Tuesday afternoon.
