Men's Soccer Win Against Butte

The FLC men's soccer team got the Labor Day weekend off to a great start with a dominating 4-0 win over Butte College at Falcon Stadium on Friday night.  The win was the Falcons' first of the young season and first for new head coach Justin Johnson, as the team improved their record to 1-2.  Sophomore defender Nathan Benesch scored the Falcons' first goal of the season midway through the first half off an assist from freshman Marco Aguilar.  With the ice finally broken, goals by sophomores Logan Guler and Gus Chima and freshman Lee Barclay accounted for the rest of the scoring surge with assists  credited to Barclay andDrew Russell.  Goalkeeper Patrick McDade was outstanding in earning the shutout victory, turning away four shots on goal.
