FALCONS FINISH 2ND IN BIG 8 OPENER

The Folsom Lake men's golf golf team - the defending Big 8 champions - began their title defense on Wednesday at Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin with a second place finish.  The Falcons shot a team score of 406, nine strokes behind team winner Napa Valley (397).  The scores were indicative of the difficulty of the course, which is notoriously the toughest test the Big 8 teams face each year.  Sophomore transfer Nathan Jetton led the Falcons with a round of 80, while sophomore Kaden Ward and freshman Noah Woehler were right behind at 81.  The Falcons will aim to recapture the team lead when they play at Oakdale Country Club on Monday, Feb 24.
