Falcon golfers take third; hanging on to Big 8 lead for dear life!
The FLC golf team is clinging to an eight point lead with two tournaments to play after taking third place in Wednesday's Big 8 tournament #11 at Windsor Golf Club in Santa Rosa. With their usual top two golfers shooting 78 and 80, the Falcons finished behind Santa Rosa (377) and Sierra (387) with a team score of 393. A nice round of 74 by freshman Connor Gaymon helped the cause as the Falcons finished just four strokes ahead of fourth-place American River. With just two Big 8 tournaments remaining, the Falcons are hanging on to their Big 8 lead. If they can finish each of the remaining tournaments within two places of Sierra, they can clinch the 2017 Big 8 title.
