Falcon Golfers win again, extend Big 8 lead

After Monday's golfing debacle in Santa Rosa (which the Falcons won), Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in Carmichael was a treat for the FLC team as they won Big 8 tournament #8 on Wednesday afternoon.  The Falcons' team score of 389 was nearly forty strokes better than Monday's score and allowed them to defeat Santa Rosa by two strokes again.  Mason Troike, Chad VanderDussen, and Connor Gaymon all shot 74 to lead the Falcons to victory.  With Sierra College taking fourth for the second straight tournament, the Falcons have opened up a 10-point lead in the Big 8 standings on the second-place Wolverines with five tournaments remaining.  "We are starting to look like a golf team again," quipped head coach Barry Zarecky.  "We still need our 4, 5, and 6 players to step up their game.  My goal is to have them playing their best golf in time for NorCals and State."
